Jean Pierre Mocci Verso Ile Mare 32” x 16”

Born in 1952, Jean-Pierre Mocci arrives in Provence at the age of 8. Self-educated artist, he is interested in visual arts very young.

Participant in many artisanal fairs, he exposes paintings and artcraft industry. He is a complete artist whom one can describe as “touche a tout”: oil-base paintings, watercolors, sculptures, bronzes and ceramics.

But it is while painting its adoptive Provence that Jean-Pierre Mocci touches the heart of the art lovers. Colourist in his soul he finds the inspiration in the landscapes which surround him… From the Sainte Victoire to the Baux de Provence, he proposes his luminous perception of the fields of lavender, sunflowers or poppies.

His artistic stroll goes also through Camargue where he captures bulls and horses in the marshy immensity. He also especially enjoys to paint the Arlesiennes, emblematic characters of this Provence he likes so much.

He even opens the door of his garden, where he offers to his public a part of his intimacy…

The talent of Jean-Pierre Mocci as a landscape designer as a true heir of the great painters of the school of Provence is not any more to be proven… With his rich and coloured palette, he gives to his landscapes his own style. His technique close to the painters in watercolours, brings smoothness and softness to his work…

Especially fond of the mysterious universe of the circus, he also paints clowns, sometimes sad, sometimes happy, he gives a soul to these so particular expressive characters… The faces are expressive there, the costumes coloured, one finds there the so particular touch of JeanPierre Mocci, combining softness and force…

A wide range and his own style make of Jean-Pierre Mocci an international artist whose works are now part of a great amount of private collections. This Internet site is a new bond with his public who has been faithful to his talent for over 20 years…
